Ok , ok – So I am the first to moan if i see tinsel in the shop before I have had my summer holiday – but Christmas Portraits are fantastic gifts for your loved ones.

It is always a little quieter for me when the children first go back to school and so I am having a september sale to try and get a few more ” bums on seats”.

If you book a sitting before the 30th September 2010, you will receive a free 1 hour shoot. A booking deposit will be charged of £25 but that is only to prevent people booking and then deciding not to turn up. If you turn up to your appointment then the money will be refunded to you at the sitting.

Having said that, I have a fully portable studio and can come to you if it is easier either to shoot in a studio environment or to perhaps capture you and your family in a setting that reflects who you are and what you are about.

on the 12th June was a really happy event. The sun shined and they were surrounded by family and friends with a beautiful bride, some lovely cute children and wild wild women determined to enjoy themselves whatever. As for the guys- well England were playing their first World cup – need i say more!!.

is always slowish for weddings but I am fortunate to have some good corporate clients who are keeping the work coming in. The only slight disadvantage is that client confidentiality means that I cant blog too much here.

I have been putting an album together of a wedding at Buckfast Abbey from about 3 weeks ago and thought i would share a photograph of the ceiling above the alter. The area below is restricted to members of the public but the Priest kindly agreed to me setting up a shot. It doesnt really fit into the wedding album but I am sure you will apreciate why I couldnt resist taking the Photograph

……had asked for some shots in the studio but we ventured down to the bay afterwards as Teignmouth has so much to offer any photographer :

so i went for a walk along the sea front to get some lovely sea air and bumped into John who was celebrating the birth of his first child just 2 hours previous. Congratulations to John and his good lady ( didnt catch a name ) . If you are reading this john I would be delighted to pop along and take a pic of the happy parents and your new born as my way of saying congrats. If you want a copy of this then let me know. Colour is available -but i liked the black and white

The trouble was that the girls wont accept that nature has blessed them with beauty but were insistant that ” only shoot my right side”, ” dont let my teeth show”, “can you photoshop out spots?”

With their wedding in December and their honeymoon being a family trip to Lapland, Karen and Chris decided that they would carry the Christmas theme through . A really friendly laid back couple, Chris set the romantic tone with a lovely card and bouquet to his bride which arrived as she started to get ready and the day continued that way. The weather did its best to upset proceedings with constant driving rain but the warmth inside the Merry Harriers more than made up for it. Additional entertainment was provided by Luke Warm who drew excellent caractures of the principal guests and a magician who kept his audience mesmerised.

…everyone likes to look back at photographs and bring back the memories. For some however , 2009 will become their ” Good Old Days and what better way to record the times than with a Photograph?
